20th of August

This day is a national holiday in honour of Saint Stephen (King István I.), founder of the state of Hungary, as well as the festival of the new bread. In a way you may say its the birtday of Hungary.

The great national celebration concludes on the evening of the 20th August with a spectacular half hour firework display over the River Danube and the Buda hills.

THE CLOWN IS ON THE ROAD, BUDAPEST

The clown is on the road. Our protagonist arrives with a large bag to the ring of the Capital Circus of Budapest and he changes to a clown's costume for the beginning of the show. He guides our audience through the performance dominated by joy, courage and love.

Clown David’s jokes make the dreadful presence of the lions, the dinamic gallop of the Cossack riding troupe and the breath-taking productions of the artists still more unforgettable experiance. Our show „The clown is on the road” promises a complete rest both for children and adults.

We’re looking forward to seeing you in the Capital Circus!

Night Train from Budapest to Venice

We have tried the special offer of MÁV-Start Co. to get a night trip from Budapest to Venice on train. We were more or less satisfied with the service but basically I find the idea quite good, since having a night train is a sort of fun and you can save some money on accommodation.

Our short video summary about the trip:

Hungaroring Fest in Buda Castle

The first FORMULA ONE run in Hungary was held in 1986. From tourist aspect this is one of the events in Hungary of outstanding importance, as on such occasions many more foreigners come to visit our country than usual.

The fans of speed and horsepower - accompanied by their friends and relatives - like to enjoy themselves after the practice session and the race. They are willing to get an insight to Hungarian culture, the life of this country, and go for sightseeing tours with pleasure to get acquainted with the sights of Budapest.
