Im French/Singaporean used to live in paris

- Since when are you in Hungary?

Since april 2007

- What do you do here?

Not working at the moment, trying to immerse into the culture

-Where did you enter Hungary for the first time?

From Paris to Frankfurt, from Frankfurt to Budapest Ferihegy.

- What was your very first impression on Hungary?

My very first impression was that it was nothing different than France.

- Which parts/cities of Hungary have you visit?

Visegrad, Szentendre, Zalaegerszeg, Nagykanizsa

-Have you seen or experienced things here which are very different from
your country?

The milder weather, the spicier dishes, the town architectures....

- How do you find Hungarians?

Generous, friendly & humble.

- As a foreigner have you had any difficulties to settle down in
Hungary? What are the main challanges? For example have u ordered a pizza by yourself here in Budapest?

No i never ordered pizza yet, I dont dare as I guess they dont speak English. Settling down is still not easy, the language is the main barrier. If I could speak & understand the language Im pretty sure I'd be very comfortable here as I can adapt fast. And English is not even the most common language to speak after Hungarian. People here tend to speak german to foreigners.

- Is the Hungarian delicacies you have posted on your flickr your favourite Hungarian food?

No it was just the 1st time I cooked something hungarian so I took a pic. I like stuffed cabbage the most.

- Did you read the post about stuff cabbage in the hungary starts here?

Yes i took the recipe. I love it especially with the tejfol on it, its delicious :)

- Tejfol is Zsolt's fav:)
Yes me too, we cook with lots of tejföl in France, too.

- What do you miss the most from Singapore/France?

From Singapore, I miss the food the most. You can find anything at any hour there. I also miss the warm weather. From France, I miss the variety of products you can find in supermarkets. And the comfort of understanding & being understood around people.

-What are the positive and negative aspects of living in Hungary?

I think the artistic culture here is very promising. It seems to be a very inspiring place to live. But very frankly there's nothing really different in everyday life with France. The negative, I'd say the economy and the way some people struggle to have a decent life.
